Looks like we're going to Planet Comicon in March....
I’m kind of excited about it. I’m definitely a fan of getting my geek on.

Thank you, Gamefly!
I had some GameFly Rewards dollars to use up, so I bought L.A. Noire today. For 86 cents, including shipping and handling.
For 86 cents, if I don’t like it it won’t be a big deal.
I love a good deal. Thanks, Gamefly!

Today's Tea: Celestial Seasonings White Tea...
Word on the proverbial street is that White Tea is naturally decaf, so I can only assume that certain blends add some caffeination considering this box made “Decaf” a point.
This was bought for our Tea of the Month Club. I’d never had white tea before, but I’d heard good things. I wasn’t disappointed. It’s lighter than green tea and has a very...
The Difference a Year Makes →
New blog post in which I ramble about the difference in how I felt in 2011 vs. how I feel in 2012.

Is a Gym Trip Ever Pointless?
I’d like to think not, even though tonight’s felt like a waste.
Leg hurt so much I could barely get through it. I called it quits after 15 minutes. I left feeling like I’d wasted my team.
But really…isn’t going for a short time better than not going at all?
J. Felbs said it was. I’ll believe him because it’s easier than being mad and frustrated at...

Tonight's Tea: Chillax Tisane
A friend recommended t by Sarah, Inc., an online tea and tisane store that she really liked. I wanted to try some of the flavors first, so I bought the Sarah’s Teaser’s sampler pack.
Tonight I’m enjoying the Chillax Tisane, a chamomile blend with basil, lavender, lemon balm, and kava kava root. The taste was definitely different. Tea seems to be an acquired taste for me, and...

Tonight's Tea: Chamomile
I didn’t think I liked chamomile tea. Awhile back I bought some Honey Vanilla Chamomile and didn’t really like it hot, though icing it and drinking it cold was pretty good.
I blamed my dislike on the chamomile.
But then I tried some Sweet Dreams, which is a chamomile/mint blend and loved it. And when I went back to the HVC, I found I liked it alot better.
Tonight is straight up...

Another Monday Workout
Made it to the gym tonight due to the fact that J. Felb (the hubs) did not let up until we went. And trust me…I did not want to go.
I’m glad I went, but it doesn’t change the fact that I may have a hard time going back tomorrow night.
I’m having a hard time with motivation. Most nights it’s way too easy to just go home right after work and not leave. Nights out...

Not to Sound Weird, but...
Last night, I was Wonder Woman. And I helped a PowerPuff girl, Mario, Princess Peach, Bayonetta, and Kangief (?) rescue Diddy Kong from Wario.
Alcohol was involved.
So it wasn’t actually DnD that we played, but Drunken DnD nights are always a good time.

Return of the Pain
The pain in my rear end came back, and now it’s just getting weird.
Sometimes it’s there, sometimes it’s not. Sometimes it’s right in my butt, more often now it’s in the top back of my thigh (hamstring area, right?). Sitting hurts, laying on my side hurts, but walking seems to alleviate it.
I woke up this morning and actually felt good…until I bent my leg at...

No More Silent Hill
In general, I like horror video games. And I love the movie “Silent Hill.” But I just can’t play Silent Hill: Homecoming on the 360. I tried. I even rented it a second time to try to get through it.
For whatever reason, the game scares me. It’s not the nurses, it’s not Pyramid Head. It’s the dark and the sounds. I can play for about twenty minutes, even with...

Back Pain (or ease, thereof)
After several days of bad back pain, I finally went to the chiropractor. My back is still tender, but I’m moving and feeling better than I have been. It’s such a relief that something worked.
I’d like to credit the lack of back pain with the fact that I payed some bills, did some paperwork, and bought some gifts online.
I’m also syncing my iPod and looking through my...
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo →
My opinion on the Hollywood version of the movie.
Good luck trying to explain that...
I’m not a parent, and I know it’s not my place to judge what other parents do.
Also, I watched some pretty graphic stuff when I was a kid, some my parents knew about, some they didn’t.
But I’m pretty sure the eight year old girl didn’t actually enjoy the movie “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” and I have to wonder if the parents knew what to expect by...

Post Illness
After four days of some bug/food poisoning/possible chronic issue I have to be tested for, I’m finally feeling human again. And not just human, but kind of superhuman, at least today.
No back pain. Energy to actually leave the house to pick some stuff up at the store. The need to organize and be productive for the first time in awhile.
No back pain.
That’s probably the best part...

Look on the Bright Side....
I may be sick and experiencing horrible stomach flu pains, but I’m in no way associated with Ocean Marketing.
That’s something to be thankful for.

Phone Call From the Future?
My cell phone rang this morning and when I checked the number, I saw it was my cell phone number.
I’m sure there’s a logical explanation, but all I could think about was the old “Tales from the Darkside” episode where the woman called her past self to warn her to take her husband to the hospital.
Then I thought, “What if that was my future self trying to warn me...
yarnandkoopashells replied to your post: I Love Scary Video Games I can only watch other people play scary video games. They are too intense for me.
I like watching too. And scary movies don’t bother me at all.

I Love Scary Video Games
But I can’t play them for more than 20 minutes at a time most days. Even if they’re not particularly scary, I get too tense to marathon play.
I still haven’t tackled Silent Hill: Homecoming again. Yeah, you’d think that if something made me so uncomfortable I would just NOT do it. But that wouldn’t be a very “me” thing to do.
I like the scare, I just...

Don't Forget the Lyrics
We’ve been on a Don’t Forget the Lyrics kick courtesy of Netflix streaming. It’s addicting, and even though not everyone has been the greatest singer, there’s only been one person who was actually almost too painful to listen to.
If you watch it, just watch out for Cheerleader Week. That’s all I’m saying.

Hey there, Winter...
Our area is under a winter weather advisory/warning. Five to eight inches, sleet, some freezing rain maybe. At least that’s what I’ve heard. I know the drive home…and mine is way shorter than that of a lot of my co-workers…was pretty sucky.
I suppose this is the start of our white Christmas, but I could do without it.
Looking on the positive side, though, it’s a...
